Resources - School of Architecture
Outstanding resources are available within the School. Extensive computing resources are available in all three buildings; labs and studios are accessible 24-hours a day. Temple Buell Hall has 10 fully networked studios and a state-of-the art auditorium. The Ricker Library holds more than 71,000 titles on architectural subjects and subscribes to over 300 periodicals. Career advising and placement services are available all year, with a Career Expo each spring. Thanks to the generosity of alumni, more than 150 fellowships and awards are given out each year to deserving students.

In 1873 Nathan Clifford Ricker graduated from the University of Illinois with the first degree in architecture granted by an American University. After studying in Europe, he returned to the University to formally establish a Department of Architecture.
