As one of the oldest and largest architecture programs in the country, the School has alumni practicing and teaching across the country and around the world. Since Nathan C. Ricker was the first to graduate with an architecture degree from an American university in 1872, our alumni have been continuously recognized as leaders of the profession, pioneers in design and technology, and distinguished scholars. Recognizing the value of their education at Illinois, many alumni generously share their time and expertise, maintaining and strengthening our tradition of excellence.
