Robert Garneau is a senior architect with Grimshaw, the award winning international practice established in 1965 by Sir Nicholas Grimshaw in London.  In 2003 Robert was one of the first employees hired for the New York office and leads the firm's Environmental Design Management. Robert is responsible for high profile Grimshaw projects such as the Fulton Street Transit Center in Lower Manhattan and the Via Verde affordable housing project in the South Bronx, both won in international design competitions. Prior to joining Grimshaw he acquired a diversity of experience working with Jean Nouvel in France, Richard Rogers in Japan, Pentti Kareoja in Finland and Diamond + Schmitt in Canada.

Robert's career began in Fine Arts, after which he focused on Environmental Studies in preparation for a profession in Architecture, holding a degree in each of the three disciplines. In 2001 he became a USGBC member and LEED accredited professional and was registered as an architect in the State of New York in 2002. Robert has presented at various conferences such as the NYCGBC Urban Green Expo, USGBC Greenbuild, AIA New York State, and on many occasions at the AIA New York City Center for Architecture, he was also an invited speaker and judge for the DVGBC Natural Talent Competition.
