Jean Castex is an architect and has a Ph.D. in urban planning. He is the author of several works, including Renaissance, baroque et classicisme, histoire de l’architecture 1420–1720 (Paris 1990; reissued 2004); “Borromini et Mansart, les règles de l’extraordinaire,” in Borromini en perspective (2003); Frank Lloyd Wright, le Printemps de la Prairie House (Bruxelles, Liège 1987); and “Darwin, Wright and the Typology of the Prairie House,” in Rassegna, 74, The Prairie School, 1988.
