The School of Architecture and the Central Illinois Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) are proud to present best-selling author Sarah Susanka, AIA, on Thursday, September 16th to begin the School's fall lecture series. Susanka's lecture will begin at 8:00 pm in Foellinger Auditorium, at the south end of the University of Illinois' main quad. The public is invited. Following the lecture Ms. Susanka will be available to sign copies of her books.
About the Lecturer
Sarah Susanka, AIA, the popular author of such books as The Not So Big House, Creating the Not So Big House, and Not So Big Solutions for Your Home, will be discussing her new book titled Home By Design: Transforming Your House into a Home.
A cultural visionary, Sarah Susanka has emerged as a leader of a movement that is redefining the American home. Her approach to residential architecture has been embraced by homeowners, architects, and builders across the country and her "Not So Big" philosophy is part of a national dialog.
Susanka is much sought after for speaking engagements by professional organizations and members of the media.
